Agnipath Scheme is hidden agenda of RSS to take control of Indian Army: Ex CM Kumaraswamy

Karnataka: Ex- Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has alleged that “Agnipath Scheme” is a hidden agenda by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to take control of Indian Army. He added that Agniveers would become RSS workers inside the Indian Army and outside as well, even after their service ends.

Furthermore, he said, “Will RSS leaders recruit them or the army? Now, 10 lac people, who will be recruited, may push RSS karyakartas into the army. They may setup 2.5 lac RSS workers in the army and their hidden agenda is that the 75 percent who will be sent out with Rs.11 lacs.

They’ll spread across the country.” He added, “Those inside and outside will belong to the RSS, they’re planning for an RSS takeover of the Indian army.” Terming the scheme as “RSS’s Agnipath,” Kumaraswamy recalled that RSS was founded during the time of Hitler’s Nazi rule in Germany. Janata Dal leader said, “May be they (RSS) want to implement that (Nazi rule) in our country, for which they’ve created Agnipath or Anginveer.

There are a lot more things to be debated, I’ve some doubts regarding this”. Kumaraswamy claimed that RSS is trying to bring a “Nazi movement” in India. “Hence, they have come with Agnipath and creating Agniveers.” Kumaraswamy said that for the first time in 75 years, Army Chiefs took the lead to defend any policy decision of the government.

Why are the Prime Minister, Home Minister and Defense Minister silent on Agnipath scheme? Analyst Sushant Singh said, the new army recruitment plan could have “devastating consequences”. According to Singh, Military proposal will also have a direct bearing on the Indian society, which has seen a spike in hate speech and attacks on Muslims and other minorities by India’s right-wing Hindu groups since Modi came to power in 2014.

He pointed out that “the most violent ethnic cleansing occurred when members of the majority community gained combat experience as soldiers while the minority community was unorganized.” Web Desk
