Islamabad: The wife of JKLF leader Mushaal Hussein Mullick Mohammad Yasin Malik has alleged that the Indian government is planning to commit a judicial murder of her husband.
Since Aug 2019 the political leadership of Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir (IIOJK) has been languishing in Indian/ J&K jails and has been charged with decade old cases just to deprive the masses of their right of political struggle against Indian political machinations.
The case of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik is of particular concerned as India regarded him as hurdle in manifestation its sinister plans. Yasin Malik, Chief of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and other Hurriyat Leaders have been illegally detained by India in a jail in New Delhi for the past several years.
The Indian court has convicted Yasin Malik in a 30-year old fake and false concocted case. Tufail Raja, the lawyer representing Malik in the NIA’s fake case, said that cases are being fabricated against him. International media has termed the Indian illegal action as political vendetta. The filing of all these cases against the Kashmiri leader has forced many in the disputed region to fear that the Indian state has already decided to “sign his death warrant”. Human Rights groups in IIOJK have also said that the Indian government is unfair towards Yasin Malik.
Modi Govt is preparing false grounds to hang Yasin Malik as was done in case of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru. The ultimate goal of the Modi-regime is to put in place puppet government in Kashmir which would justify the Indian illegal actions, including delimitation, demographic changes, and illegal merger of IIOJK vis-à-vis India, in violation of international law and UNSC resolutions.
At a certificate distribution ceremony hosted by Kashmiri Americans in the honour of 2022 graduates at ‘Kashmir House’ Maryland, speakers expressed solidarity with Yasin Malik. They stated that if Yasin Malik is a terrorist as India has charged him, then why the-then PM of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh urged him during an official meeting on February 17, 2006, to help initiate a peaceful negotiation for the resolution of Kashmir dispute.
Dr. Manmohan Singh sought the meeting with Malik because of non-violent ideology that Yasin Malik was pursing since 1994. Yasin Malik was given life imprisonment by an India’s kangaroo court for raising demand for freedom of his motherland from the illegal occupation of India. Kashmiri leadership while condemning the life imprisonment for Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik has termed the conviction as judicial murder, saying the Indian government registered fabricated cases against him and his lawyer has boycotted the trial due to his impartiality. Yasin Malik is being punished for leading a peaceful human rights movement in a region which thrives on Indian state’s violence & authoritarianism. The international community is duty bound to act and challenge India’s shameful denial of his right to a free and fair trial.
Yasin Malik has been given life imprisonment in a case entirely fabricated at the behest of the Indian government. This is a grotesque abuse of justice by Indian judiciary. Life sentence for the real hero and freedom fighter highly condemnable act by the coward Indian Government and a blatant Indian effort to silence the voice of Kashmiris. Web Desk
