Islamabad: Allegations of corruption in the purchase of land for Ram temple in Ayodhya have come to fore and it is said that the BJP and RSS have made the temple a medium of business.
According to a report, Ayodhya Ram temple has been in controversy since the day it was passed for construction at the site of Babri Mosque.
It said, demands grow for probe into corruption in the purchase of land for Ram temple in Ayodhya. It added, Ayodhya Ram temple trust has been charged with purchasing additional land at an inflated rate. The report citing Samajwadi Party and Aam Aadmi Party said that the land bought for Rs 2 crore was sold to Ram Janmabhoomi Trust for Rs 18 cror.
The report said, Congress leader, Priyanka Gandhi revealed that donations by devotees for construction of Ram temple were misused and Aam Aadmi Party has stated that Ram temple land scam is an attempt of the BJP to hurt the feelings of Hindus, adding the BJP’s corruption is delaying construction of the temple.
The 16th century Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was razed to ground by extremist Hindus on December 06, 1992.
The report said, a temple being built on the site of historic Babri Mosque will remain a blot on India’s so-called democracy, deploring that BJP wanted to demolish thousands of mosques and build temples in their place. It said, Ayodhya verdict is yet another manifestation of pliant judiciary under Modi’s India as the biased verdict has attested to Hinduization of India.
The report maintained that Babri Masjid demolition by the BJP-RSS-led rightwing Hindu mob in 1992 is still fresh in the minds of Muslims across the world, adding that Muslims and their places of worship were increasingly under attack in Modi’s India. Web Desk
