Farmers’ Delhi Chalo March continues on 22nd day in India

HARYANA: On the 22nd day of the Delhi Chalo March, Haryana police continue to use force against farmer protesters.

The united farmers’ movement has laid out some conditions, including opposition from the BJP and allied parties.

In response, farmers’ protesters have called for a nationwide rail blockade on March 10.

The Indian Supreme Court has refused to consider the demands of the farmers.

Indian media outlets have also exposed the Modi govt’s aggression.

Preventing farmers from entering the national capital without any reason is a violation of their constitutional right to travel freely within their country, according to the Deccan Herald.

The Supreme Court bench led by Justice Surya Kant has observed that there are many issues besides these.

“Just based on newspaper reports, petitions cannot be filed,” Justice Surya Kant stated.

On March 6, farmers’ protesters will arrive in Delhi from across the country via trains, buses, and airplanes.

Human rights organizations and affected individuals have expressed concern over the suspension of X accounts, calling it a disturbing crackdown, reports Scroll.

Haryana police have also revoked visas for protesting farmers. Farmers’ unions from outside Punjab have also called for expanding the protest.
