Fayaz Zafar files fake story to malign Pakistan Army

Islamabad: Fayaz Zafar reporter Voice Of America (VoA) Deewa, posted a fabricated story on his Facebook page pertaining to an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) conducted on  October 8, 2022 near Ingroderai in Mengora, Swat.

According to Zafar’s claim, security forces went to Ali Said’s house to recover money and hence a scuffle broke out during which they killed Ali Said and his son Unais Ahmad.

The version of this incident as narrated by Fayaz Zafar is absolutely contrary to the fact, which depicts his mala fide intent to malign Pakistan Army and an effort to undo peace restoration in Swat region.

In reality, Ali Said and his family moved to Ingroderai near Mingora almost 15 years back. His son Awais worked at Iqbal traders, construction company, from where he stolen 30.5 million cheque.

After enchasing it he fled to Karachi and subsequently Turkey. Ali Siad agreed to pay back said amount following a decision by local Jirga and the matter was settled. Ali Said’s other son, Unais Ahmed went to Afghanistan a few years back and established links with the terrorist organizations. He was apprehended by security forces (SFs) on 5th Oct 2022 for interrogation.

During which he revealed that some members of terrorist organization were going to visit his father’s work place- Kanta (balancing) on 8th October. On this intelligence tip, security forces raided the place at 1800 hours.

During search out a scuffle broke out and Ali Said opened fire at Security personnel with his pistol. Unais Ahmad also fired at security forces using SMG that fell in the room from security personnel while they ran to cover. As a result, four personnel got injured.

Following the incident, a response team approached the area and neutralized the terrorists. The story of Army’s involvement into any financial dealings with Ali Said is flawed, baseless and fabricated. Web Desk
