India: Christians assaulted by Hindutva leader in Uttarakhand

Dehradun: Members of Christian community were ruthlessly assaulted by a Hindutva leader in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.

The Hindutva leader, Radha Semwal Dhoni, beat up, assaulted and harassed a group of Christians in Jhajra city of the state over the allegations of religious conversion.

In a video making rounds on social media, Dhoni can be seen beating the Christians including a woman.

“I will crush you like potatoes… you come to our localities as teachers but later convert our children,” she accuses the Christian group in the video.

“Anyone playing with our Hindu religion and sentiments will be met with the same treatment,” Dhoni said in the Facebook post.

Dhoni is a member of the Hindu Yuva Vahini, a Hindutva group founded in April 2002 by Yogi Adityanath, the BJP leader and incumbent Chief Minister of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
