Indian troops brutally kill three Kashmiri youth in a fake encounter in IIOJK

Srinagar: As part of the continuing reign of terror imposed by the fascist Modi government,  Indian troops martyred three innocent young Kashmiris  near the Line of Control in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The troops staged a fake encounter drama to kill the youth in Uri sector of IIOJK.

Since the BJP government came to power, extrajudicial killings and fake encounters by Indian troops have become routine in IIOJK. The troops pick up unarmed Kashmiri youth from their homes, take them near the Line of Control and kill them in cold blood. The Indian army falsely accuse the martyred youth as Pakistani militants to malign the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle and Pakistan. The incidents of Pathribal fake encounter of 2000 and Machil fake encounter of 2010 are glaring examples of this heinous practice by the Indian Army.

It may be added here that on 25 May 2000, the Indian  occupation forces had claimed the killing of five militants in Pathribal area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad district. The Indian troops were involved in the massacre of dozens of Sikhs in Chattisinghpora area of the same district a few days ago. At least 35 Sikhs were killed on 20 May 2000 on the eve of the then US President, Bill Clinton’s visit to India. However, later it was found that those killed by the Indian Army at Pathribal were local civilians. The investigation into the Chattisinghpora incident also revealed that the massacre was carried out by the army to defame the Kashmir freedom movement.

Similarly, Indian troops killed three youth after luring them for job in Machil area of Kupwara district in April 2010. The troops also killed during fake encounters three labourers hailing from Rajouri district of Jammu in Amshipora area of Shopian in July 2020 and three other civilians in Lawaypora area of Srinagar in December, the same year.

It is necessary that human rights bodies and the UN should take serious of the deteriorating situation in IIOJK and put pressure on the Indian government to put an end to the reign of terror in the Kashmir valley.
