The majestic valley of Kashmir lies shrouded in bloodshed, massacres, grave human rights abuses, uncertainty and atrocities; the partition came at a heavy price levied in blood and loss and the people of the valley are still paying it. For the valiant and resilient people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the dawn of independence is still an unrealized dream, a revered aspiration for which generation after generation of Kashmiri men, women and youth have been laying down their lives.
Every Kashmiri strongly believes that Kashmir remains the unfinished agenda of the 1947 Partition of the Subcontinent. Quaid-e-Azam’s analogy about the status of Kashmir clearly defines the importance of Kashmir for Pakistan and vice versa (Kashmir is the Juglur Vein and integral to the Islamic identity of the Pakistani state). Currently, Kashmir is divided into two parts; Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir and Azad Kashmir with autonomous administration. Pakistani Kashmir is administrated as two territories: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and three divisions Mirpur Division, Muzaffarabad Division and Poonch Division. Pakistani federal institutions along with AJK government control security, the courts, and most important policy matters. Politics within the two territories are independently managed by elected members of AJK.
Freedom of expression and association are fully granted to AJK people strictly according to the UN resolution. Islam is the major religion which is practiced in AJK, with 97.16% of the religion’s population identified as Muslims. Kashmiris and Pakistanis belong to the same faith, share the same values, and are thus culturally aligned. People of IIOJK are paying a heavy price for last 70 years to get independence from Indian illegally occupation and to become a part of Pakistan where there future is secured. India has deployed around I M security forces in IIOJK and the region has been time and again referred as world’s largest open jail.
Indian government has been boosting about the normalcy and beginning of a new era of peace and prosperity in IIOJK owing to abrogation of Articles 370 & 35A, which is totally contrary to ground realities. The ground realities have debunked the Indian propaganda as India has failed to subdue the resilience of IIOJK fighting for their rights of self-determination according to UNSC resolution. India has perpetually failed in its nefarious designs to subdue the people of Kashmir and suppress their freedom struggle, moreover the to divert the international attention criticizing Indian grave HRAs in IIOJK India resort to propaganda against Pakistan.
India tries to create unrest in the peaceful region of AJK by various disinfo campaigns and supporting ASAs to malign the image of Pakistan and create a wedge between people of Pakistan and Kashmiris. India has failed to absorb that why people of IIOJK love and respect Pakistan to an extent that they desire to be buried wrapped in Pakistani Flag which is certainly an indication of their extreme love for Pakistan.
It is due to this fact that even Pakistan’s cricket victory is also celebrated in IIOJK with zeal by Kashmiri youth and faces serious consequences for their gesture and love for Pakistan at the hands of brutal Indian forces. The people of IIOJK see a dark future under the Indian occupation and their struggle to break the shackles of slavery forced upon them illegally by Indian expansionist designs has become their sole ideology. The people of AJK receive first-hand knowledge from their kith and kins across the LOC and the unending tales of misery and pain of Muslims of IIOJK act as source of respect and love for Pakistan.
