Kashmiris condemn Amit Shah’s IIOJK visit

Muzaffarabad: Thousands of people in seven cities of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) took to the streets to condemn the visit of Indian Home Minister Amit Shah to Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The massive anti-India rallies were taken out from Sudhanoti, Mirpur, and Muzaffarabad.

The socio-political experts are of the opinion that the visit’s real hidden agenda is in context of pacifying internationalization of Kashmir issue in the wake of Indian HRAs in IIOJK and political consolidation of IIOJK by BJP through political coercion.

However, the leadership and people of IIOJK believe that political manipulation and selection of a BJP Chief Minister from IIOJK by sidelining the mainstream Muslim Political Parties is main purpose of the visit of further its nefarious colonial designs in IIOJK.

While addressing a rally in Rajouri on 4th Oct 2022, Indian Home Minister Amit Shah said that Indian government would implement reservations for the Gujjar, Bakarwal and Pahari communities, as recommended by the communitiee set up to examine quota benefits.

This is a kind of offering political bribe to increase BJPs political base in Muslim Dominated constituencies of Jammu region and is also likely to affect the election results in four seats of IIOJK assembly segments in Kashmir valley.

Gujjars were against this move to accord the Bakarwais SC status, but BJP played smartly, it leadership met separately with the leader of both communities and then collectively, BJP played smartly, it leadership met separately with the leaders of both communities and then collectively, BJP might increase the Reservation Quota for ST in the jobs and other immunities accorded to ST like quota for admission in professional colleges and scholarships, benefiting both Gujjars and Paharis.

On the call of APHC and Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Chairman Altaf Ahmed Bhat occupied valley observed complete shutdown to convey a message that they have rejected India’s illegal hold of their homeland.

APHC and other parties at both sides of LoC also observed complete shutdown in all parts of IIOJK to convey a strong message to the Indian government and the international community that people of Jammu and Kashmir are not ready to accept anything short of their right to self-determination, as pledged by the United Nations.

The people of IIOJK see a dark future in the under the Indian Occupation and now they want to break the shackles of slavery forced upon them illegally by Indian expansionist designs. The world media and HR organizations have been increasingly criticizing and sensitizing the international community regarding the plight of minorities in India.
