Minorities subjected to atrocities in India due to Modi’s fascist policies

India is not a secular democracy, but in the form of majority of Hindus, there is an imposition of tyranny, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and minorities are being subjected to atrocities in India due to Modi’s fascist policies.

Minorities in India observed 15 August as ‘Black Day’. They wanted to show the world that Indian rulers, especially Modi-led BJP government did not deserve to be given an independent country, like India to govern.

Oppressed people of India wanted to project that India has crossed all limits of humanity as Modi is locking up activists, persecuting minorities and suffocating democracy in India. Aam Aadmi Party MLA, Harpal Singh Cheema said, “It has been 70 long years since India got freedom, but nothing has changed. The litany of grouses, grievances and grudges of India against the Sikh people grow with every passing year, in fact with every passing day.

The original promises and commitments are long forgotten by the Indian leadership.” Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh said Sikhs and Kashmiris were not alone in this crisis of identity in India. All the minorities, including the Dalits are also suffering.

Indiscriminate use of black laws like Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) on Sikh activists and anti-CAA protesters had raised alarm bells among the minorities, who were already at the receiving end of the oppressor state.

Moreover, Nagaland and Manipur celebrated the 75th ‘Naga Independence Day’. Naga National Council said, Nagas had declared their independence on 14 August 1947 and 99.9% of the Nagas had voted in favour of a sovereign nation during a plebiscite in 1951. Experiencing India’s long intransigence, people of IIOJK launched their peaceful freedom struggle and India had deployed one million security troops to crush the freedom struggle. Indian security forces have committed rampant HR violations and genocide in the Kashmir valley with full impunity under the protection of draconian laws like Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and Public Safety Act (PSA).

The rights of minorities in the mainland India are being trampled through use of force, which is amply clear by the Delhi massacre of the Muslims by RSS led Hindu zealots fully supported by BJP government, Christian churches are being attacked and the rights of the Hindus of lower castes are being usurped by the upper caste Hindus. India is not a democracy but a union of illegally occupied states. BJP gears up for India’s 75 years of Independence with its ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’. However, RSS itself did not hoist the flag at their headquarters in Nagpur for 5 decades. BJP wants to turn India into a Hindu state by eliminating minorities from the country.
