Pakistani army chief vows to defend ‘motherland’ on Kashmir visit

Rawalpindi: Pakistan’s newly appointed Army Chief General Asim Munir has said the military is ready to defend the country if attacked as he visited the Line of Control (LoC), which divides the disputed Kashmir region.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief interacted with officers and soldiers and appreciated their high morale, professional competence and combat readiness while performing their duties in challenging conditions.

During the visit COAS Asim Munir emphasized, “We have noticed highly irresponsible statements from Indian leadership on G-B & AJK recently.

Let me make it categorically clear, Pakistan’s Armed Forces are ever ready, not only to defend every inch of our motherland, but to take the fight back to the enemy, if ever, war is imposed on us.” He said any misconception resulting into a misadventure will always be met with full might of armed forces having support of the resilient nation.

Army Chief said, Indian state will never be able to achieve her nefarious designs.

According to World Military Strength Ranking 2022, Pakistan’s military has been ranked as the 9th most powerful Army in the world. General Asim Munir urged the world to ensure justice and deliver what is promised to the Kashmiri people in lines with the United Nations resolutions.
