Agartala: The activists of the ‘Hindu Yuva Bahini’ had brought bulldozer and occupied Muslim graveyard and set up a temple of Lord Shiva overnight.
Muslims are demanding from the administration to initiate measures to maintain the peace and tranquility and clear the temple as we don’t want to disrupt communal harmony.
Local administration had imposed restrictions on public movement under Section 144 of CrPC at Nandannagar’s Thanda Kalibari area after a row broke out over an encroachment of a graveyard used by Muslims allegedly by extremist Hindutva group.
Under BJP’s leadership, India has become one of the most dangerous country for minorities in the world. Human Rights Watch in its annual report has criticized BJP-led government for adopting discriminatory policies against minority communities, including Muslims in India who are being persecuted physically, psychologically and economically.
Modi government is not leaving any stone unturned to turn India into a Hindu Rashtra (Hindu state). Constitution of India recognizes in Article 25 (1) that “all persons are equally entitled to freedom of conscience and the right to freely profess, practice and propagate religion.”
India is on the path to self-destruction with its Hindutva policy targeting all minorities living in India. An Indian writer, Khushwant Singh, has predicted doom for India due to its self-destruction course. India has entered into a very critical phase of communal strife after the Hindu zealots led by RSS inspired BJP leaders openly called for genocide of the Muslims and persecution of other minorities through tacit extreme ploys.
