UN must implement its resolutions on Kashmir to restore its lost credibility’

ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a reception at its office in Islamabad in the honour of the leaders of the Kashmir Movement in UK, Europe, Spain and Scotland, in which the speakers demanded of the UN to implement its resolutions on Kashmir to restore its lost credibility.

The speakers said the Kashmiris living abroad are playing their full role in highlighting the Kashmir cause. They said India is using every brutal tactic in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom movement. They urged the international community to take cognizance of the grave human rights violations perpetrated by Indian troops in the occupied territory.

Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK President Raja Faheem Kayani, Tehreek-e-Kashmir Scotland President Baily Hanif Raja, Tehreek-e-Kashmir Spain President Shafiq Tabasim and Tehreek-e-Kashmir Europe Senior Vice President Mahmud Ahmed Sharif met the leadership of APHC-AJK chapter and discussed the latest situation of IIOJK.

Raja Faheem Kayani, Baili Hanif Raja, Shafiq Tabasum Awar Mahmood Ahmed Sharif briefed the Hurriyat leadership about the activities of Kashmiris living abroad regarding the projection of the Kashmir cause. They said the APHC represents the aspirations and sacrifices of the oppressed Kashmiris. They said the ugly face of India has been exposed in front of the world. They said that the freedom movement will be intensified at the international level.

Hurriyat leaders, Muhammad Farooq Rahmani, Ghulam Mohammad Safi, Sheikh Abdul Mateen and Altaf Hussain Wani reiterated their commitment to move forward with a new plan of action to further expose the Indian atrocities on the Kashmiris. They said we should make the best use of social media to highlight at the global level the grave human rights violations perpetrated by Indian troops in IIOJK.

Muhammad Rafiq Dar, Altaf Ahmad Butt, Imtiaz Wani, Advocate Parvez Ahmed, Raja Khadim Hussain, Haji Sultan Butt, Sheikh Abdul Majid, Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, Gulshan Ahmed, Manzoor Ahmad Dar, Zahid Safi, Dawood Yousafzai, Abdul Majeed Lone, Shaukat Hussain Butt, Muhammad Shafi Dar, Syed Mushtaq, Kifayat Hussain Rizvi and Bashir Usmani also attended the reception.

On this occasion, condolence and sympathy were extended to the family members of Fida Hussain Kayani former Director of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation cell, AJK and Munir Ahmad who was the brother-in-law of Advocate Pervez Ahmed who has passed away in IIOJK.
