Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticizes Modi govt’s failed policies

NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has launched a direct attack on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of disastrous policies that have led to increased unemployment and economic woes in the country.

Gandhi stated that Modi’s demonetization and implementation of GST have crippled small businesses, resulting in widespread job losses.

He highlighted that India now faces higher unemployment rates compared to neighboring countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Pakistan.

According to Gandhi, the unemployment rate in India has doubled in comparison to Pakistan, with a significant number of unemployed youth coming from Bangladesh and Bhutan.

He blamed Modi’s policies for creating a situation where India has witnessed the highest unemployment levels in the last 40 years.

Furthermore, Gandhi criticized the central government’s policies, alleging that they favor the wealthy and neglect the interests of the lower and middle classes.

He pointed out that while the rich benefit from policies such as those affecting the Indian Railways, the common people are left marginalized.

Gandhi’s remarks come at a time when the Modi government is facing growing criticism over its handling of the economy and rising unemployment rates.
