Uttar Pradesh: A Dalit youth was mercilessly abused and thrashed by upper class Hindus for touching food during a wedding function in BJP-ruled Indian state of Utter Pardash.
The incident took place when a Dalit youth Lalla picked up a plate for himself, the Hindutva terrorist, Sandeep, and his brothers abused him and severely thrashed him in Wazirganj area of the state.
When Dalit’s elder brother Satyapal tried to save him, the Hindutva terrorists also beat him up and damaged his motorcycle.
Eyewitness Renu, a resident of Naubasta village, said her younger brother, Lalla, 18, had gone to attend a wedding in the village and the feast was arranged at the house of one Sandeep Pandey. As soon as Lalla picked up a plate for himself, Sandeep and his brothers abused him and thrashed him. When Lalla’s elder brother Satyapal tried to save him, they also beat him up and damaged his motorcycle.
“We took up the matter with elders in the village. When the accused knew about it, they barged into our house, thrashed Lalla again and indulged in vandalism,” Renu added.
