Fascist Modi govt intensify restrictions in Kashmir ahead of Republic Day celebrations

Srinagar: In Indian Administered Kashmir, Indian authorities have intensified restrictions in the name of “high security” across the territory, particularly in Jammu region, ahead of Indian Republic Day celebrations.

It is pertinent to mention here that India celebrates its Republic Day every year on 26 January. It is a day on which Indian constitution came into effect.

The personnel of Indian army, Border Security Force, and Village Defense Guards have been deployed in all district areas along the Line of Control and night patrolling is being conducted in Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, Kathua, Samba and Kishtwar districts.

Night curfew has been imposed in Samba district for two months, officials. Checking and frisking have also been increased in Jammu and Kathua districts.

Indian troops and dreaded investigation agencies have intensified their violent cordon and search operations and raids in Indian Administered Kashmir to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom struggle.

In a statement, APHC said, Indian state terrorism will not subdue the Kashmiris’ resolve for freedom and they will continue their struggle till complete success. PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti said, the harsh tactics employed by the Narendra Modi-led Indian regime in Indian Administered Kashmir cannot change the ground realities of Jammu and Kashmir.

It is worth mentioning that Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world observe 26 January, Indian Republic Day, as Black Day, every year, in protest against India’s continued denial of right to self-determination to the Kashmiri people.
