Heavy investments in IIOJK post-2019 a lie: Mehbooba

Srinagar: Ex-Chief Minister of Indian Administered Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti busted the Indian leadership lies of foreign investment in Indian Administered Kashmir after abrogation of article 370.

The ex CM quoted the official figures of Indian Administered Kashmir government, reflecting the investment in Indian Administered Kashmir during last 5 years.

She said, “Despite GOIs tall claims of heavy investment flow into J&K post abrogation of Article 370, the figures presented by them in the Parliament prove otherwise. 840 crores in 2017-18 vis a vis 376 crores in 2021-22. A lie has no legs”.

It is pertinent to mention here that 2 days back, Chairman of Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party (DSSP Indian Administered Kashmir), Chaudhry Lal Sing had also made similar statement regarding Indian falsehood.

He termed BJP assertions of ‘good governance and ‘accountability’ during their term in office as nothing but a bunch of lies. He lamented that the last 4 years have ruined the entire economy of Indian Administered Kashmir which has in reality collapsed, unemployment is at its peak and youth is in utter frustration.

In her jibe at the Centre government led by BJP, Mufti is giving a sense that “development, investments and normalcy” are just “farce” in J&K post Article 370 abrogation.
