Hindu extremists demand action against Lulu Mall after video of Muslims offering Namaz goes viral

Lucknow: Lulu Mall Lucknow in UP has come under controversy when a video went viral in which some people were offering Namaz inside the mall.

The authorities of the mall said, they respect all religions and any kind of religious work or prayer is not permitted. While, it was claimed that those offering Namaz were staff of the Mall. Questions are being raised as to how religious activities can be done in a mall. General Manager of the Mall, Sameer Verma, said, Mall floor staff and security staff are trained to keep an eye on such activities.

According to Hindu Mahasabha, Lulu Mall has been in such controversies in the past as well. Mahasabha leader Shishir Chaturvedi said, “Lulu Mall is now showing its true colors. This Mall has already been in the news for similar exploits. Now doing the same in UP too.” Hindu Mahasabha has demanded action on every Mall which is being used as a Mosque.

The Hindu group lodged a complaint against the Mall owner and claimed that 70% of the Mall staff are Muslim and by doing this, they are practicing ‘love jihad’. The Hindu group also sought permission from the local authorities to recite Sundar Kaand in front of the Mall.

The Mall authorities filed a counter Police complaint against unidentified persons under Sections 153A, 295A, 341 and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. India has squeezed its land for minorities. They are not being able to offer their religious practice, despite Indian Constitution guarantees them to do so.
