India ‘actively’ promoting terrorism in Pakistan

New York: Pakistan told a UN Security Council Arria-Formula meeting that India is “actively” sponsoring terrorism against it, but warned that Islamabad would continue to counter those terrorist threats effectively

India has been using foreign soil against Pakistan since 2001 by investing about $3 billion on infrastructure, training of Afghan forces and other projects to establish a network for its permanent foothold and to achieve its covert designs.

The recent incidences of apprehensions of Indian Armed Forces personal from Qatar and Guinea on the charges of espionage points towards Indian state’s involvement in operating intelligence networks in foreign countries. TV Program aired on Indian TV Channel “Aaj Tak” refers suicide car bomb attack on Hafiz Saeed home in Lahore.

TV report covered detailed planning/ execution of attack which was possibly conducted by Indian intelligence agencies. According to experts, by sponsoring terrorism against Pakistan from foreign territory, India had violated various Articles of the United Nations Charter including Article 2(4), Article 41(3) of the Vienna Convention, and Paras 2 and 5 of UN Security Council Resolution 1373 of 2001. Pakistan had provided irrefutable evidence of India’s support and financing of TTP & JuA to UNSC 1267 Sanctions Committee.

In a report to UNSC, UN Analytical and Monitoring Team said, TTP, which is now based in Afghanistan, carried out more than 100 cross-border attacks between July and October 2020. In November 2020, Pakistan made public a dossier containing “irrefutable proofs” of the Indian “sponsorship of terrorism in Pakistan.” The allegations were not new but it said they were backed by specific evidence of financing, training, and correspondence of terrorists. The international community can no longer turn a blind eye to this rogue behavior.
