India backing terrorists in Pakistan, spoiling Afghan peace process: Analysts

Islamabad: Brig (Retd) Said Nazir (Defense Analyst): Pakistan has tangible evidences on Indian involvement in its internal affairs and promoting & funding terrorism in our country. Islamabad presented the dossiers along with the evidence at the UNGA forum. India is backing terrorists in Pakistan. The recent terror incident in Lahore was also operated from India. Pakistan must put the evidence in front of the international Court of Justice. An Afghan citizen was also involved in the Johar Town blast incident. It is unfortunate that Pakistan has been hosting the Afghan refugees for the last many decades but now they have become a security threat to our country. It is the time for their dignified return to their homeland. India is playing a role of peace spoiler in Afghan peace process and the regional stakeholders must take serious notice of it. India wants to become the villain of the South Asian region. The international community must force India to stop its aggressive policies for the sake of regional peace and stability. The government must also scrutinize the Afghan refugees residing in our country from time to time as some of the culprits are supporting in its nefarious designs against Pakistan.

Lt Gen (Retd) Naeem Khalid Lodhi (Defense Analyst): We must appreciate and encourage the efforts of our security agencies for finding the evidence of involvement of RAW in Johar Town blasts in a very short span of time. Pakistan has presented the dossiers of Indian involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan with strong and irrefutable evidence at the UN forum but unfortunately international organizations and forums are adopting criminal silence. India’s illegal actions are the endangering regional peace and stability. The international community is prioritizing its national interests with India rather than taking action against it on the basis of concrete evidence. Therefore, it is the need of the time that Pakistan must respond to the Indian aggression in the same way.

Maj Gen (Retd) Ijaz Awan (Defense Analyst): America does not want peaceful and stable Afghanistan. The United States and its allies stayed in the war-torn country for 20. The United States wants to ensure that the Afghan government is under the US influence during peace agreements with Afghan Taliban. The United States before withdrawal could have played its role in eliminating misunderstandings between the major stakeholders in Afghanistan. The aim of the United States is to counter China and Russia in the region. It is the time that regional stakeholders must sit with Afghan to ensure peace and stability in the country.

Mirza Ikhtiyar Baig (Economist): It is a great achievement that tax revenue collection in the country has almost crossed the assigned target and we must appreciate the policies of the government in this regard. Pakistan is among the countries that bounced back after the COVID-19 pandemic. Our exports have increased because the government implemented a smart lockdown strategy as a result of which economic activities continued even during the pandemic. However, the COVID-19 has damaged the economy of the country like other countries of the world. The agriculture sector was unable to achieve its growth targets in the last two years and we had to import wheat, pulses and other commodities. The government in this fiscal year is determined to give prime importance to this sector in order to increase growth. Moreover, the government is also giving top priority to the IT and SMEs sectors in the country which is a positive development. Radio Pakistan
