India committing worst human rights violations in held Kashmir: Prof. Cheng

Srinagar: Indian occupied forces are relentlessly targeting Kashmiris, especially the youth, in Occupied Kashmir and are driven by extremist Hindutva ideology that provoked and condoned genocide of Muslims.

Visiting Professor at Southwest University of Political Science & Law, Prof. Cheng Xizhong has noted that under the guidance of Modi’s extremist ideology, Indian forces have intensified arbitrary detentions, night raids, coercion, harassment and humiliation of Kashmiris, relentlessly targeting the Kashmiris, especially youth in Indian Occupied Kashmi

Indian occupation forces are known to kill innocent Kashmiris, claiming that they were “alleged militants”, in efforts of getting monetary rewards or ‘gallantry’ medals. Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism have martyred 23 Kashmiris in January 22.

During the month, 17 youth were critically injured due to use of brute force by Indian Police and Paramilitary troops. During the period, Indian Army, paramilitary CRPF and Police have arrested 45 civilians, mostly political activists, youth & students and several of them are booked under black laws including Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Public Safety Act.

The forces’ personnel misbehaved and molested with one female, destroyed and damaged 7 houses and structures during the operations in Jan 22. r.

He has stressed that under this extremely severe situation, international community, including UN should hold India accountable for its gross and systematic human rights violations and crimes against humanity in IIOJK, without further delay.
