Indian Army’s Captain commits suicide in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: An Indian Army captain committed suicide in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

According to the details, The body of 29-year-old Army captain was found hanging from a ceiling fan at the Pachmarhi-based Army facility in Narmadapuram district of the state, Indian police said.

The death of Captain Sartaj Singh Karla is a case of suicide but no suicide note was found, an officer said.

Captain Karla was learning Chinese at Indian Army Educational Corps Training College and Centre (AECTCC) the Pachmarhi-based institute, which trains Indian Army personnel music and foreign languages, said local police station in-charge Rooplal Uikey.

The deceased Army officer, who hailed from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, had been staying at the institute since September 2022, he said.
