Indian atrocities increasing by the day: AJK PM

Mirpur: Each year, 9th December is marked as the UN Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims and Crimes of Genocide. The day is also remembered as the 73rd anniversary of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (the “Genocide Convention”), the first human rights treaty adopted by the General Assembly. Unfortunately, genocide committed by Indian army under the garb of Hari Singh forces (Jammu Massacre 1947) goes unnoticed by International community.

27 October 1947 is the day when genocide of the Kashmiris was started. Educated Kashmiri youth is the main target of the genocide by Indian occupational forces. Modi government has given free hands for the genocide of Kashmiris. The world must force India to comply with its international, moral obligations and allow Kashmiris to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination as enshrined in international law and the relevant UNSC resolutions

Earlier, Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan Niazi has said Indian atrocities in IIOJK were increasing day by day where the educated Kashmiri youth was the main target of the genocide by the Indian occupation forces.

Niazi expressed these views while talking to Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjarani at Parliament House in the federal metropolis. Both the leaders discussed the latest ugly situation prevailing in IIOJK besides other matters of mutual interest on this occasion.

Niazi said the valiant Kashmiri youth were giving sacrifices for the liberation of IIOJK from Indian clutches. He said no everlasting peace could be established unless and until the Kashmir issue was resolved in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The meeting also discussed the issues relating to promotion of tourism and industrial development in Azad Jammu Kashmir.

Chairman Senate Sajid Sanjrani while speaking on this occasion expressed serious concern over the gruesome human rights violations and systematic killing of Kashmiris at the hands of brute Indian forces.

He added that only Kashmiri youths were being martyred in fake police encounters in IIOJK and their bodies were not being handed over to their heirs.

Sanjrani further said the Pakistani nation and government stood with their Kashmiri brothers and would continue to support in their struggle for achieving their fundamental right to self-determination.

The Senate chairman assured full cooperation to the Government of Azad Kashmir for the promotion of tourism and hydropower projects in Azad Kashmir.

He said that according to the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, the government had started a comprehensive development programme for the wellbeing of the people of the state and to provide relief to the people. He further said the development of Azad Kashmir would also have an impact on IIOJK.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi called on Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid at Minister Enclave and expressed condolences on the demise of his brother.

The PM expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and offered Fateha for the departed soul. Web Desk
