Indian BSF officer harassed Sikh woman to establish physical relation with him

Amritsar: An Indian Border Security Force (BSF) officer misbehaved with a married Sikh woman in the Indian state of Punjab, and threatened her with dire consequences against failing in fulfilling his ‘demand’.

The BSF officer along with two other accused threatened the married woman in Wan Tara Singh of border area of Punjab and forced her to enter into physical relations with him.

The accused officer had been forcing the victim since September onwards to establish physical relations with him, otherwise threatened her with implicating him in a criminal case.

The victim woman said they had been harassing her since September 22 and she lodged a complaint with the Khalra police one and a half months ago, but the police were not ready to redress her grievance. She said she had to move from pillar to post get a case registered against the accused officer and his accomplices.

The BSF officer has been identified as Vijay Kumar of the G-branch of BSF at Wan Tara Singh. The victim in her complaint stated that the accused officer had been calling her from his mobile phone pressuring her to establish physical relations with him.

ASI Satnam Singh of the Khalra police station said a case had been registered against the accused officer.
