Indian HM’s visit intended to divert world attention from HR abuses in IIOJK

Srinagar: Indian Home Minister, Amit Shah’s visit to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir was a smokescreen aimed at diverting international attention from India’s grave human rights violations in the territory.

Amit Shah addressing a gathering in Jammu at-tempted to mislead the Indian people by claiming that the G20 meeting in Srinagar was a grand success and all the participants have gone back to their respective countries with the message of peace.

However, the fact of the matter is that the event was a complete failure as several major countries including China, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Indonesia, Oman and Egypt boycotted it. Also, the Modi government had turned IIOJK into a big military garrison to peddle its militarized normalcy narrative by deploying tens of thousands of Indian troops across the territory.

The Indian home minister’s visit was a cruel joke with the struggling Kashmiri people as it was nothing but an attempt to further the anti-Kashmir agenda of RSS in IIOJK. Such visits of brutal and oppressive Indian rulers to IIOJK have no meaning for the subjugated Kashmiris.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders have rightly said that people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir see Amit Shah just as a criminal whose hands are stained with the blood of innocent Kash-miris. They maintained that Amit Shah is the person who is overseeing the brutal operations being carried out by the Indian troops on a daily basis in the occupied territory.

Indian home minister’s visit was aimed at hoodwinking the world into believing as if every-thing is normal in IIOJK. India is continuously trying to mislead world by showing that a new era of so-called development has kicked off in Kashmir. Kashmiris are not against peace and development but breaking shackles of Indian slavery is their prime objective.

The APHC leaders are justified in raising the question that how peace and development can happen in IIOJK when it has become the world’s most militarized zone. Not development but plebiscite under UN auspices is the foremost demand of Kashmiris.
