Yogi’s anti-Muslim comment again creates political stir in UP

Uttar Pradesh: National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has no intention of fighting any election with an agenda other than blatant communalism and hatred with all the venom directed towards Muslims.

His remarks came after BJP’s firebrand Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, only those saying “Abba Jaan” used to get all the ration before 2017.

Omar tweeted, “Here is a CM seeking re-election claiming that Muslims ate up all the rations meant for Hindus.”

It is worth mentioning here that Yogi Adityanath addressing an event in Kushinagar town in UP ridiculed the Indian Muslims particularly in the state by referring to them as “people who say ‘Abba Jaan’”.

“Under PM Modi’s leadership, there is no place for appeasement politics… Before 2017 was everyone able to get ration? Only those who used to say ‘Abba Jaan’ were digesting the ration,” Adityanath said.

‘Abba Jaan’ is a term used to address fathers by mostly Muslims, a community that the Hindu priest has targeted with divisive statements many times in the past. UniIndia.com.
