Male: Maldives Police Service (MPS) says that the agency has seized 12 kilos of drugs in a special operation conducted Monday evening.
Briefing the press on the seizure, Police media official said that the operation was a joint one carried out by Police’s Drug Enforcement Department and Intelligence Department. The drugs were seized at sea.
Along with the drugs, a 37-year-old Indian national was arrested as well. MPS says the individual has a record of drug trafficking. He was arrested twice prior to this incident. Maldives Journal
