OIC demands UNHRC to take notice of human rights abuses in Indian Occupied Kashmir, Palestine

Geneva: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has urged the UN Human Rights Council to address the human rights violations being faced by the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine.

In a statement delivered on behalf of OIC at UN in Geneva, Pakistan’s Ambassador Khalil Hashmi urged the Council to implement the recommendations addressed to it for human rights.

At the 47th foreign ministers’ conference in Niger, the OIC had demanded revocation of all illegal measures taken by Narednra Modi-led fascist Indian government since August 05, 2019 including those designed to alter the demographic structure of the occupied territory and denial of rights of the Kashmiri people.

Khalil Hashmi said we remind the international community of its obligations to ensure the implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir in fulfillment of the rights of the Kashmiri people.

The OIC also said that it remains gravely concerned over the continuing violations of international human rights and humanitarian laws in the occupied Palestine territory including East Jerusalem. Web Desk
