India acting as spoiler in Afghan peace process

Islamabad: After facing a major setback to its nefarious designs against Pakistan following the Taliban’s takeover in Afghanistan, India is still playing the role of spoiler of peace in the war-torn country.

According to a report, India never wants to see stability and peace in Afghanistan. It said India has been hatching conspiracies for decades to damage the relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The report said India’s exclusion from the extended troika – China, US, Russia and Pakistan – meeting held to find a political settlement in Afghanistan has left it red-faced. After being sidelined from Afghan talks, India is now trying to prove its relevance by boasting about recent visits of Russian and US intelligence chiefs to Delhi, it said.

“India had established consulates along Pak-Afghan border to carry out terrorist activities in Pakistan. Taliban’s takeover and with an interim government now in place in Afghanistan, Modi government’s nefarious designs against Pakistan have fallen flat. Frustrated India is resorting to false propaganda focused on the so-called allegations of human rights violations by the Taliban,” it said.

The report quoting political analysts pointed out that India has never been part of the solution but part of the problem in Afghanistan.

The analysts say that all stakeholders in Afghan peace process have ultimately realized that India has no significant role in Afghanistan and it is better for New Delhi to recognize the new reality and stop acting as a spoiler of peace.  Web Desk
