Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has warranted the attention of the United Nations and international human rights organizations towards the brutal act of the Modi-led Indian fascist regime of not allowing people to participate in funeral prayers and other last rites of the iconic personality of the ongoing resistance movement, Syed Ali Gilani.
According to a statement issued by APHC, Gilani was killed in police custody and his dead body was snatched from the aggrieved family by the Indian forces, and buried in the darkness of the night without performing the religious rites. The APHC thanked President and Prime Minister of Pakistan and the people of the country for displaying solidarity and support with the people of the occupied territory. APHC leader Yasmeen Raja also welcomed the dossier issued by the Government of Pakistan on Indian war crimes in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, a report released by Kashmir Media Service deplored that when the International Day of Democracy is being observed all around the globe, today, India continues to violate all democratic norms in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. It said New Delhi has proved itself a sham democracy by continuously denying the Kashmiris their democratic right to self-determination.
Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema Jammu and Kashmir, headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in a statement in Srinagar warned the elements trying to harm communal harmony to fulfill the colonial agenda. Hundreds of people including Hurriyat leader Shabbir Ahmed Dar visited the sons of veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, at their ancestral residence in Sopore and expressed solidarity with them over the demise of the iconic leader.

Another study found that India has emerged as the biggest source of COVID misinformation, with one in six pieces of fake information coming out of the country.
